Carbon Dynamics of Restored Grasslands: A Decade of Eddy-Covariance Measurements

Abstract
Restored grasslands are promoted as natural climate solutions, but their carbon trajectories are rarely measured directly. We report ten years of continuous flux data from a chronosequence of restoration sites.
Sites transitioned from net carbon sources to sinks within four years, stabilising at 2.1 t C per hectare per year. Interannual variability was driven primarily by growing-season precipitation.
