Abstract

Synovial inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis is clinically heterogeneous. We applied single-cell RNA sequencing to synovial tissue from 28 patients spanning early and established disease.

We identified two distinct fibroblast states associated with treatment-resistant disease, suggesting cell-type-specific targets for refractory rheumatoid arthritis.
