Generative AI and AI-assisted tools do not qualify for authorship. Authors who use such tools in the preparation of a manuscript must disclose this in the methods or acknowledgements, describing how and where the tools were used.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of their work, including any content produced with AI assistance. Reviewers must not upload manuscripts to generative AI tools, to protect confidentiality.
