Diamond open access — free to read and free to publish — is reshaping expectations for scholarly journals. This editorial argues that community-supported, no-fee models offer the most equitable path for emerging fields and under-resourced institutions, and explains how OJS and OJSPlus make such models practical to operate at scale.
