Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.

All articles are published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, unless stated otherwise. This allows anyone to copy, redistribute, and adapt the work for any purpose, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.

Because authors retain copyright, they are free to deposit any version of their article (preprint, accepted manuscript, or published version) in repositories or on personal and institutional websites, with a link to the published version.
